We could catch one at Stop 1 – Times Square but considering how long it took to get there yesterday we decided to catch it at stop 13 near Pier 81 in Hell’s Kitchen. It only took about 10 mins by Uber to get here.

It’s 2 deg C this morning at 10:30 and it’s going to get to 11 deg C today. Janine is wrapped up as she really feels the cold.

The bus trip if you stay on is going to take approx 2 half hours according to the brochure. Our first stop where we get off is stop 3 The Empire State Building. This is 4 stops from where we started. It took over an hour to get to stop 3. The traffic is horrendous. There are roadworks and building repairs that are closing half a road everywhere.

Off to the Empire State Building. We bought tickets to go to the 86th and 102nd floors. It is an amazing experience and certainly one must do in New York. We spent a couple of hours here and it was worth every minute.

Wait for the next bus to come and off to stop 6 so Janine could do some shopping and then a 45 min wait (supposed to arrive every 20 mins) for the next bus.

Next stop the 9/11 memorial. Strange experience to see a place where I watched on TV the devastation on that day.

That was it for the bus tour we needed to get back for some tea and off to the theatre. Caught an Uber back to the hotel from the memorial.

Off to see Moulin Rouge at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre off Broadway. A great show.

Back to the hotel late tonight and after a big day, crashed.

Tomorrow we head home.
