4 to 7 March 2025 - Day 13 - 16 - Miami
Adelaide to Sydney
Day 1 to 4 Miami. Today we catch the train to Miami. About a three hour trip with 5 stops on the way. The Brightline Terminal in Orlando is spectacular. A really modern building next to the Orlando airport. We had booked Premium Class so we got to spend a little while in the Premium Class Lounge.
Nice seats on the train.
The station in Miami is just as spectacular as Orlando’s.
Uber to the hotel in Miami South Beach. Kimpton Hotel Paloma. It’s OK. Room’s comfortable although we have a queen bed. Unfortunately the restaurant in the hotel is closed for renovations but we do get breakfast.
While in Miami we did a little shopping in preparation for the cruise.
We did a cruise around the millionaires homes and had a nice lunch in the Bayside MarketPlace.
We also went on the Big Bus tour around Miami ending with a good lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Found a really nice place near us that makes good coffee, they roast their own beans in small batches, it’s almost comparable to Adelaide coffee.
One night I’m looking out the window of our room and I see strange lights falling out the sky. It was Elon Musk’s spaceship falling back to earth in pieces. Awesome.
After 4 days in Miami we’re off to Fort Lauderdale to catch our Caribbean Cruise.
